Kirwan Haulage has operated out of Mountrath, Co. Laois since 1979. Our base sits at the crossroads of the Irish motorway network - the M7/M8 split is on our doorstep, which puts Dublin, Cork, Galway, Limerick and the North-East all inside a few hours of running time. That midlands geography is the reason we can offer genuine nationwide coverage without treating distant counties as a premium add-on. If a customer in Donegal needs a same-week delivery, we are not routing it off a Dublin yard at 3am.
Three decades in, our remit covers all 32 counties and regular cross-border work to the UK. The fleet mixes rigid trucks for sensitive urban deliveries with articulated tractor units for long-haul volume, and every driver is trained across multiple disciplines. Alongside general haulage we run crane-equipped trucks for HiAb lifts, handle abnormal loads under full Garda and Transport Infrastructure Ireland permits, and complete full machine installation projects where the truck is only step one of the job.
Triple ISO certification (9001, 14001 and 45001) means every region we serve gets the same documented standards. Our drivers carry CPC qualifications, and where the work requires it they hold ADR tickets for hazardous goods and specialist training for plant and precision lifts. The vehicles are tracked live, the paperwork is digital, and the same dispatcher who books your collection in Wexford is the one who confirms delivery in Derry. Continuity matters when cargo has a deadline.
