Kirwan Haulage delivers haulage services in North-East Ireland, covering Louth, Meath, Cavan, Monaghan, and north Kildare from our Mountrath depot. The route runs via the M7 to the M50 and then north on the M1, with Drogheda reachable in around 1 hour 45 minutes and Dundalk within 2 hours. The Dublin-Belfast economic corridor sits along our M1 routing, and this single stretch carries more of our scheduled cross-border work than any other road in Ireland.

Dundalk is the operational centre of our North-East work. The town's industrial estates - including the PayPal EMEA operations base, the M&S Food distribution hub, and the Xerox EMEA Technical Centre at Finnabair Business Park - generate regular palletised and part-load freight that moves south to Dublin, west to the Midlands, or north across the border. We also deliver into Drogheda's industrial zones at the Donore Road and IDA Business Park, and Drogheda Port handles the smaller coasters and bulk cargo that don't suit Dublin Port's container-first operation - giving us an alternative ro-ro and project-cargo option when Dublin is congested.

Cavan and Monaghan are important centres for food production, particularly poultry, dairy, and meat processing, with sites like Kepak Monaghan and the cluster of Cavan-based food ingredient processors generating constant pallet traffic. These are industries where reliable, scheduled haulage is essential to keep production lines running. Kirwan provides regular collection and delivery services for processors throughout both counties, using our curtainsider fleet for palletised goods and our flat-body trucks for heavier loads. For goods transiting to mainland UK, we also handle the Dublin-Belfast-ferry routings (including Warrenpoint for bulk cargo) when capacity or timing suits better than Dublin Port.
