Trucks arriving from the UK and Germany carried oversized equipment that needed to be transferred onto smaller rigid vehicles for delivery into restricted urban sites. Construction props were destined for a building site in Dublin city centre, while an industrial baler needed to reach a supermarket in Cork city centre. Both loads had uneven weight distribution requiring specialist handling.
At our handling facility, we used our 7-tonne forklift to offload the oversized equipment from the incoming articulated trailers. Each load's centre of gravity was carefully identified before lifting, as both the props and baler had off-centre weight distribution. The equipment was then reloaded onto rigid trucks with 45ft flatbed trailers, which could navigate the narrow streets and restricted access points of both Dublin and Cork city centres.

Both deliveries were completed on schedule. The construction props reached the Dublin city centre site without disruption to the surrounding area, and the baler was positioned at the Cork supermarket as planned. Our cross-loading facility and experienced operators ensured safe handling of the unevenly distributed loads throughout the transfer process.
