A telecommunications provider required a new 27-metre monopole mast installed at a rural site in County Galway to expand mobile network coverage. The mast arrived as three separate 9-metre sections from the manufacturer in Kildare and needed to be transported cross-country and erected on site using specialist lifting equipment.
We collected all three 9-metre mast sections in Kildare and transported them to the Galway site on a single load. Using our Palfinger PK135 HiAb crane with a reach of 36 metres and fly jib attachment, we safely erected each section in sequence to assemble the full 27-metre monopole. The PK135's extended reach and precision control allowed us to work at height without the need for a separate mobile crane on site.

The monopole was fully assembled and standing within a single day. The telecoms provider was able to proceed with antenna fitment and commissioning on schedule. This project demonstrated our ability to handle the full delivery-to-erection process for telecoms infrastructure using our own fleet and crane equipment.
